3D Printer Nozzle
A 3D printer nozzle is the last thing on the hot end that filament passes through before it is deposited into your printed part. Over the years, it has evolved from simple brass with a single cavity to various material coatings lengths and internal geometries.
Brass (copper), stainless steel, and hardened steel are the main materials of 3D printer nozzle. The hole sizes of 3D printer nozzle are vary in 0.2, 0.25, 0.3, 0.35, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.0mm. Except for the standard MK8 V6 extruder nozzles, we also provide nozzles for E3D V5 V6 hot ends, Volcano hot ends, high flow CHT nozzles, and Super Volcano nozzles with 50mm length.
Nozzle Temperature for PLA, TPU, ABS, PETG, and Nylon
Different 3D printing filaments have different melt temperatures. For example, the ideal range of nozzle temperature for PLA or PLA+ filament can be between 180℃ and 220℃ and varies slightly for different brands or manufacturers.
Here is the nozzle temperature for various 3D print materials.
PLA / PLA+ Print Temp | 190 degrees |
TPU Print Temp | 210 degrees |
ABS Print Temp | 230 degrees |
PETG Print Temp | 240 degrees |
Nylon Print Temp | 250-300 degrees |
